Crux ID is rolling out an expanded data-download experience in Account Actions, giving signed-in users more control over the information they receive from their Crux account.
Instead of generating a basic, fixed download, the updated Account Center lets users select one category, several categories, or all available categories. Available selections cover account preferences, security and sign-in history, family controls, Crux Connect, CruxAI, Crux Cloud organization, original Crux Cloud files, help and support, games and progress, and news and subscriptions.
Users can choose JSON for complete, structured records or CSV for easier use in spreadsheets. Each completed ZIP package includes a manifest describing the selected categories, included record counts, the stated source and purpose of the information, any unavailable records or files, and security-related exclusions. Original Crux Cloud files can also be included when selected and available.
The new request experience includes:
- Category-by-category selection, including a select-all option.
- JSON and CSV export formats.
- Password reconfirmation before an export request is accepted.
- Clear queued, processing, ready, failed, and expired states.
- Progress information and export-request history in Account Actions.
- Authenticated, account-owner-only downloads.
- Seven-day availability for completed download packages.
- Intentional exclusion of passwords, active session credentials, recovery codes, private keys, and authentication tokens.
- The ability to request or retrieve an export while an account-deletion request is pending.
Export packages are prepared through a background queue rather than inside the user's normal page request. The system limits concurrent work, prevents duplicate active exports for the same account, reads database results incrementally, and removes expired packages in bounded batches. These measures are designed to keep Account Center responsive and reduce the effect of large exports on normal Crux services.
The self-service download is designed to support access and portability workflows; it does not limit a user's privacy rights or replace Crux Support as a channel for formal requests. Users who believe an export is incomplete, or who need information about retention, disclosures, recipients, correction, deletion, or another privacy right, can contact Crux Support for assistance.
The expanded Account Actions experience will be available through the Crux ID Account Center following completion of production deployment and verification.
